Welcome to Madonna Belton’s Photography!
Madonna is a native of Charlotte, NC and believes you can do all things through Christ....She invokes her experience in journalism to animate the poetry and souls of her subjects while maintaining their native essence.
During her tenure with The Exposure Group African American Photographers Association in Washington, DC, she felt privileged to have exhibited in the Color of Life exhibition in 2009 at the Charles Sumner School, established in 1872, one of the earliest schools for African Americans in DC and to have been selected to exhibit "Brotherly Love” at the Afro Brazil Museum in Sao Paulo, Brazil at its African-American Culture Celebration in 2009, an image she photographed in 2000 during the Million Family March, and she also exhibited at the Group’s 4th Annual Juried Member Show exhibition in 2010.
Madonna earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trinity University in Washington, DC where she graduated with double honors: Cum Ladue in Communication and induction into the Lambda Pi Eta, National Communication Association Honor Society. She was a journalist for the Trinity Times Newspaper.
